You asked for it, you got it.
Would you buy a Speedmaster or an America not built in England?
No ramblings, yes,no, and count 'em up.
I vote no.

I could and perhaps I should say NO.
But next, someone will want to know if I’d take offense to riding a bike with fake air cleaners.

No. The fact that it's built in England seems very important to me. The tradition of it. SteveB

Ummm...yes.....but I'd hate myself in the morning. Speakin' o' which, did I ever tell you guys about the time I woke up one mornin' with a '66 Honda "Dream" layin' across my left arm. Now THERE was an UGLY BIKE!!! Yep! They don't call me "Rightie Dwightie" for nothin', ya know! Had to CHEW that sucker CLEAN OFF!!!
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

The question implies I am shopping for a new bike. Yes, I would buy a Triumph unless I found another manufacturer that made a bike (who knows where) I liked better. I went through the same thing when I bought my TA in 05. If I were doing it over again, I still haven't found a bike I like better. So, I guess I would not deprive myself of the bike that does it for me because of where it was assembled.

Of course. Name a vehicle, any vehicle where all of the components are made in a single country. It depends on the management of the company. Honda's made in the US are exported to other countries-it's not the workers, it's the management, stupid. (Not you)
As long as the current Triumph management signs off on a product, that is good enough for me.

Yes. If your parents (manufacturers)are British, are you British? If you are "concieved" of Brits, but born in Asia, does it change what went into making you?

Yes. And I would happily go to a Thai restaurant afterwards to celebrate and drink a 4-pack Boddington's when I got home.

My niece is Aussie, cos she was born there - in her head anyway - but she's a Brit. She had a Brit passport first.
So on those grounds I'm saying yes I would. But in reality I wouldn't. Not cos it's not built here though.... It's those wheels... I really don't like them!

Probably, I purchased a RCA Television made in Japan, a Ford made in Canada, so I guess I would buy a Triumph made somewhere other than England.
