I am not getting reponses to my posts e-mailed to me like the old forum. I have the box checked in my preferences do I need to do something else?

I noticed the same thing last night. I even removed and re-added them. Still no emails...

I've left a note for Robert. I noticed that a few days ago I stopped getting e-mails from my "Favorite" discussion threads. I tried adding them with the "Remind Me" button but I'm still not getting anything.

is this feature something that will email me when I get a reply to a post that I made? I miss that.....

Yes,I think if after posting, you scroll down and click on the favorites thingie it's supposed to e-mail respones to you.

I'm all with Brent on this one. An e-mail when direcly replied to was great. Marking forums as favourites works when there are few posts, but when very popular you get too many e-mails... Is there a fix/way?

This works a little different than the old board. When you check the 'favorite' box this means it will send you email from that thread when anyone posts to it and not just responds to you. It gives you a lot more email that way and not neccesarily email that is just for you.

Mine stopped a few days ago as well. I thought it was my account automatically blocking it since I had a problem with getting a password from my google mail account sent there as well.

A person passing through ba.com might inquire about something they saw here, and get lost in the system. Inquiry unanswered.

Worst case scenerio, they might get discouraged and go off and buy a "________" or something crazy like that. Friends don't let friends buy "________", or worse yet "_ _". No offense to those who ride "_______" or "_ _".

Mine quit, too. Was kinda neat - the Mrs, was jealous about all my mail. Seriously, though, it was a good indicator of Forum traffic, and activity on certain threads. I prefer it, if it ever gets corrected. I emailed Robert before I stumbled upon this thread. I'm sure he knows whats up by now.

I believe Robert is working on this issue.

Hey Phil, I just got an email from this site in response to PES' reply in a topic I have selected as one of my favorites. Mine hasn't worked for about a week, that is until 1:22pm today.

Add a Reminder
What if you’re reading a thread, and you know you want to join the discussion, but you don’t have time? Just mark it with a reminder, and you’ll be able to go straight to it when you’re ready. From any thread, look for the 'string on the finger' icon to add a reminder about a specific post. When you click it, that post will be added to your My Home page under “Post Reminders.” It will remain there until you reply to the post or you delete it manually.
Favorite Threads
This feature allows you to collect together threads that you are following with particular interest, bypassing the rest of the content in the forums if you wish. This feature can be useful if you’re participating in a particularly large community, with many forums.
You can use the Show Favorite Forums link at the bottom left of the main index page to monitor recent activity in just your selected forums of interest (this link toggles to show only your Favorite forums or all forums). You can also elect to have any replies to those threads emailed to you, using the “Subscribe/Unsubscribe from receiving forum, posts by email, change message notifications, etc.” section of the “My Home” area.

Hey Al,

Couple of things I thought of last night that may help:

Try logging off and in again
Remove all your favorites, log out and in, re-add favorites (make note of them first!)

Let me know if any of this fixes it....

Is there an option to get email notification of a reply to a post you make, other than selecting the thread as a favorite and getting email notification of every follow-on post in the thread?

Thanks for the tips. I logged out, removed my Favorites. Testing a post now. Wonder if I should delete all of my cookies as well? I'll try this post for now.

Deleted my cookies, logged back in and testing again. Do you get an email notification when you submit a response, or just when another member submits?

My notification is still not working. I sent Robert a quick note, but guess it may take him a while to make corrections. I'll be patient, thanks for the tips & trying.

Jeez, this stinks. Let me ask you this. Did you have any problems getting your account to initially activate? Know what I mean?
