Mark, "The hole in the dash is the right size. The speedo is the right ratio. The stock America cable threads on perfectly (12mm). The speedo fits in the dash just fine, until you connect the cable. With the cable attached it’s too deep to mount flush.
I almost gave up on using it. Then, I just placed the speedo in the opening at an angle (a much better angle for reading), routed the cable over the gas tank next to the neck, and clamped the dash down. It’s very secure. I painted the sides of the speedo black to match the tank and dash. It looks pretty good. The speedo works great.
The angle of Triumph dash is not right. I have a tach in my other bike and I have to lean forward to read it. The Indian speedo is angled directly at my eyes."
