I picked up the HD September 30, 2006. Since then I already have 2400 miles (had 13 when I picked it up) on it and 200 was through the pouring rain. I had no ptoblems in the rain, nor did I on the TBA whenever I was riding in the bad stuff. I'm not real sure what the ancient concept is you are talking about?
