I went down to Shucks (like an AutoZone) and got a Bosch filter ($6) and the new Valvoline 4 stroke MC oil ($3.12 per quart). No problems. I have found that if you put the full amount of oil in that the manual shows for a change, you'll over fill the crank case, so be careful with that. On mine I put in 3 quarts and 22 ounces at an oil change. This includes the amount to fill the filter before installing it. After I run the bike and let it sit over night the oil level is then right at the upper limit mark at the sight glass.
