I called it a waste land. I've actually spent a lot of time over there on the 395 corridoor. Not bad really, awesome roads and nice scenery, but my friend who lives there (oakdale) just hates it. Not sure why, maybe living there is different than visiting, and a lot could be his expectations. He's from RI, and if ever you want to see a waste land, take Rt 6 thru Foster. Three or four abandones flea markets. WTF? Anywhoo...
I am one of those engineers looking to move north, and as someone said, Windsor is a nice town and close to a lot of big companies. If my company up in MA doesn't pan out I'm taking a good look at CT. North and east of Hartford is fine with me...
