Well, that sort of makes sense. At 10.48/hour, it would only take about 46 years to gross one million. If you save every penny of your net income by walking to work, sleeping under a bridge and eating at the local rescue mission, it would only take you 95 - 100 years to actually accumulate a million.

Of course, politicians see things from a different perspective. A good politician whose office pays, say, 250K/year would be a millionaire in a matter of weeks.
