oops sorry I was haveing some fantasy of how to respond to this latest affornt form the evil empire that now controls the capital.

Yeah being a native helps, in that when the state finally manages to drive me into bankruptcy. I will have nearby relitives to mooch off.

Being a native also makes it very difficult to pack up and leave. My 80 yr old Mom, who still works 25 hrs a week to supliment her social security.Gee I hope shes not upset by not making the millionaries list. Kinda keeps me here, My son being deployed to Iraq. Also keeps me kinda rooted.
State may have to build a wall to keep the younger less rooted population, There was a small story on the mews the other day about younger people leaveing the state in droves.

Ah yes Ct the "Tax me" state.One 3rd of my monthly mortgage payment goes to tax escrow.And each year our town council pats its self on the back on how they managed to only raise the mil rate a little bit. Someone already mentioned we are among highest gas tax.Cigagette and liquer taexes in the counrty. And of course who can forget Lowell P. Wieker. Father of the Ct income tax.I recall his campaigne saying all the way no state imcome tax. Then within six months of being elcected saying "gee ya know a state income tax isnt such a bad idea".

Gov Reil (rep) has for a long time been trying to do away with motor vehicle tax. Democrat controlled legisature says no way "that would benifit the rich" (remeber this is America we must punish the rich). Dems have been screaming for Millionaires tax forever. So I guess the great comprimise is to screw everybody.
