To All My Fellow CT. Millionaires,
The honorable Jodi Rell and the CT. legislature have reached a new low; they have driven every profitable business from CT. and now have turned their attention to the rest of us.
Surrounded by my milk and bread yesterday awaiting the pending snow storm I had little else to do but read the Sunday paper editorials.
Lo and Behold with one swift stroke of the pen, the governor and legislature have re-defined what it takes to be a millionaire in the state of CT... Just in case you are not aware and to avoid the PC label CT. is best related to the color related to baby boys.
But first I must digress a bit, after driving the Insurance Industry, Metals Industry, Pharmaceutical Industry & Eyelet and Fasters Industries out of CT. and creating the most hostile business atmosphere anywhere on the North American continent the boys and girls in Hartford are now coming after us.
Facing a budget deficit and the business well has gone dry, they needed a new "revenue enhancement" stream so they decided to come up with a "millionaires tax", but when they looked around and ran the numbers all the real millionaires split along time ago the new revenue stream from this new tax did not add up to much. WHAT TO DO!!! Redefine what it takes to be a millionaire!!!!
So as of this legislative session a
"MILLIONAIRE IN CT. WILL NOW BE ANY INDIVIAUAL MAKING MORE THAN $10.47 PER HOUR. THAT'S RIGHT FOLKS NO MISPRINT THERE $10.47 PER HOUR AND UP AND YOUR A CT. MILLIONAIRE.
Thus subject to the new millionaire tax. With my new found wealth I stopped at the package store on the way home and picked up a bottle of Brandy never drank Brandy before but I understand if you’re a millionaire you drink Brandy. I then stopped at the cigar store and picked up a couple of Monte Crisco torpedoes.
To add insult to injure they have attached an amendment to this bill to give every illegal alien in-state tuition at all public Universities and Colleges in CT... But the rest of us legal residents are just left to our own devices, no help here for our kids.
Now the coup to decra in order to get this passed so that all of us local morons do not burn down the state building they are going to eliminate the personal property tax on automobiles (un-funded mandate). The only problem with that is we do not pay the state personal property tax on autos we pay the cities so they lose that revenue stream and they will be forced to up the mill rate on our homes to pay for the shortfall in revenue (CT. just went through re-valuation).
So I sit here tonight drinking my Brandy and smoking my Monte Crisco like all the other real millionaires and thanking my luck stars for my new found wealth.
