Does anybody know if Scrambler mirrors will work on a speedy?

Does it have the same hand controls? The RocketIII has the same hand controls as the TBA/TA/SM. I think Adey has a Scrambler. Ask him if they're the same controls.

I wasn't sure if it had the same controls or not. I figured Adey would pop in here eventually. I might send him a PM.

When it comes to the behavior of a wild Adey in his natural habitat, ASSUME NOTHING!

I don't see why they wouldn't, no need to reinvent the wheel so to speak.

I think the mirrors on the America, Speedmaster, Bonnies, Thruxton, and Scrambler are all the same. The controls on the America & Bonnie are the same and the Scrambler probably are too. RIII, I don't know, the Thruxton controls are different as they have the front break reservour on the right hand control and a high beam passing trigger on the left.

Oh man I want that trigger!! My friend's Legend, an OLDER bike than ours, has the passing trigger and hazzards built in. WTF?!? I went to the triumph site and none of the bikes pictured have mirrors! Go figure... But I bet they are the same.

My 03 America has the same stock mirrors as my nephew's 04 T-100 Bonnie and as did my 04 Thruxton till I put Triumph Napolean barends on. Someone earlier said that the RIII had the same Triumph old school mickey mouse ears as the America & Speedy, so I'm assuming the Scrambler has the same also.
The Thruxtion trigger is neat, I didn't even know it existed till I washed the bike for the first time.

I wonder if there is anything different about the actual wiring or if it is just the housings that are different? I'd LOVe to swap it out!! Thought about swapping out a Legend one too, but they have a hydraulic clutch.

Actually I can't remember if the RIII has the same mirrors, but it does have the same hand controls.

Adey just sent me the answer. The scrambler mirrors are threaded and screw into the controls and ours (as you know) are attached with a bolt from below.

Oh well, I guess the search for usefull black mirrors continues...

The stems could be different, but the stems are detchable anyway. I also noticed that fastEddySports has tear-dropped shaped mirrors that utilize the original stem for $40 I think they are NOS Yamaha V-max mirrors. I think I am going to upgrade them.

I got mirrors from JCWhitney that work fine. They are threaded and attach with a nut under the controls. No worries. I'm pretty sure they have black mirrors too.

It's a trigger thingamajig which is like a flashing doodad.
Just pull the trigger thingamajig and the main beam wossname comes on.

Supposed to be used when passing but I used the doodar to flash etc .... that didn't come out right, did it?

Had one on the Scrambler and there's one on the ST.
Most bikes have 'em these days .... just not ours!

Yeah WTF is up with that?!? Again, anyone know if the wiring harness would connect? Like if I got some controls, could I just plug n play?

Hey Benny

Probably you could.
I'm guessing to keep things simple, they would rationalise things use the same harness for the whole Bonneville family range and they just tape up what they don't need.

Just guessin' there though.

Tape it up, or maybe the trigger is just built into the switch so there are actually the same number of wires going to and fro. I can't imagine a whole new harness for one switch!
