Gregzilla,
I wonder if changing weather is causing your bike to run slightly different. I notice mine runs differently depending on the air temperature and humidity. That would also affect the sound of the pipes. For example, mine runs great when the weather is clearing after a summer rainstorm. I noticed the same thing with my old Yamaha. Maybe you have made some other adjustments. Air/mix screws? I know that some guys change to a smaller jet in the winter when the air is colder and denser. I think that richness and leaness changes the sound. I have noticed that when I run lean I get a pop that sounds like a hammer hitting a board. When I am running richer I get a more muffled sound. Anyone else notice this?

So, to summarize, it's probably caused by global warming and it's all George Bush's fault. Hahahahahaha... just kidding.

PS. I can't tell you anything about your baffles. I run Staintunes.
