I thought U.S. Norton was out of business or broke. I would certainly suggest nobody send them money.

Yeah Ron, it's a shame, but I also have heard that Kenny Dreer's dream of a revived and totally new Norton is dead, at least for now. I have heard that he hasn't given up on this total brand new Norton with his more modern proprietary engine powering it(THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY GEORGEOUS, aren't they?!), but the latest word is that in an effort to keep his enterprise alive, he is concentrating his resources back towards his original business of restoring and updating the older original british Nortons, and that he's on the lookout for new investors for his modern bike program.

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I also heard the endevor had stalled for now. I would love to see that produced in a cruiser. I love my Norton although not the most dependable bike I ever had. Looks from the exploded view that many of the miserable thing about the Norton engine has been solved. (The friggin pushrod arrangement) It is closer engine wise to old Norton than our are to old Triumph. I really like the idea.

I was disapointed when I heard the news about the Norton revival going into the dust bin. Dag gone! That was going to be my sport bike too!

I saw one in person 2 years ago at the Cleveland bike show,it was beautiful. I met an O.C.C. saleman at the Pocono Raid last year, he said Kenny D had contacted Paul senior to try to secure funding to continue production of the bike, but I guess the amount needed was just overwhelming. Tommy

most beautiful modern bike that never was. I'd throw my bonnie in a ditch to have one. Seriously.
