Actually Triumph can't imagine a parallel twin being any larger either. They figured that out a few years back with the Trident. 
Redbike, you are friends I think with the Lone Star folks. Get a ride on a Rocket. I did 4 hours on one and will now admit that heavy can also be agile and fast.
