No direct or seat mounted options, but someone mounted a harley one to the fender.

Check out this one from newspeedmaster.com made by a member here - vdanger. Also check out how I installed a Harley duece backrest/luggage rack on mine in my photo gallery.

Yeah I think you are the one I was thinking of! I'd love to get one of those and mount it to the underside of my passenger seat instead of the fender.

That could work, but I don't know how you wouldn't damage the fender. You would have to take apart the seat to bolt it to the base.

yeah plus I have a Corbin... What I was thinking was take the front and rear brackets off, then get taller "feet" for it, and space the brackets out with washers to make room for the bracket. If I had the stock seat, I could probably hide it in the pocket for the owners manual!

Boy, you'd have to reinforce the bottom of the seat something fierce. There's a fair bit of force on a backrest and those seat bases are just foam aren't they?

No the seat base is pretty thick plastic. Hey it is strong enough to hold the whole seat ON the bike with one little bracket I was thinking maybe I could sandwich the backrest bracket between the rear bolt bracket and the seat, something like that. See 95% of the riding I do is solo, without a rear seat at all. I need it clean Also, Kim is used to no backrest, and she clutches on bretty tight, so its not like she will be leaning back and falling asleep anytime soon anyway. It's much more for her to feel secure, and a bump stop sorta thing.

are you looking for the passenger back rest or the command seat back rest? Ive seen some travel bags that have driver back rests built in
