Haven't really been too much into NASCAR since the RESTRICTOR PLATES slowed those puppies down.
I've said this before whenever this subject comes up, but I ALWAYS THOUGHT that RACING was SUPPOSED to be an exercize in DEVELOPMENT...the DEVELOPMENT of machines that will go faster and faster, and ALSO become safer and safer at the same time.
Since these RESTRICTOR PLATES came onto the scene, ALL it's become is one big "Good Ol' Boy" contest driven by personality conflicts.
HELL, I remember thirty friggin' years ago when "King" Richard Petty was goin' around the track at least 20 miles an hour FASTER than any of these yahoos are today.
Now...THAT'S "progress" for ya, HUH?!
