I wonder what did you mean by "improve"? I agree with the guy who said that with bags on, (I'm running K-Drives), it is not really visable anyway. My biggest problem with the stock gaurd is that it doesn't "gaurd" enough. I added a piece of thin sheet rubber to the tail of it, about one inch, and that stopped about 90% of that black crap from flying off onto the bags, fender, my wife's sleeve, etc!
Not the prettiest thing I guess, but it works and I can't see it!
