Ok I know it's been awhile since any up dates were posted...(especially since this thread was 30 pages back) so here is the latest... As of Monday this week (3/12/07) no more cast...Xrays show the bone is fused...  Still mobilizing with the aid of a cane....but this is more as a reminder to me that it is weak and not to do anything (else) stupid to it...  The bone growth stimulator machine worked well (and I still need to use it for a week or so)..but the ankle feels SOOOO much better...  The frustration levels around my home have been high...    But spring is in the air here in the NE (at least for a day more) and I put the shiney bits on my bike this past weekend and GA is only 49 days away....

Well HELL Rob! Why didn't you say something about this before I flew back there a few months ago???!!! I could'a brought MY machine with me. You know the one I sent for a few years back which hooks up to your vacuum cleaner and which is advertised in the back of Penthouse Magazine!

Rob,
Glad to hear your feeling better and the ankle is healing up. Like you need more advise, but now that it feels better do not press it a few more weeks of taking it easy will not hurt after six months of b\s.

Kim's dad uses one of those canes with 4 feet on it for stability, I'm REALLY tempted to get him 4 little mirrors, but I think her mom would shoot me
