Pads are pure, 100% Asian Vinyl - no doubt 'organic'. They are not removable, but, I must say they fit more appropriately than any helmet I own. The lid is very light and the outside dimensions are very small. I’m please so far with the one I have, although I question the ‘safety factor’ due to the thinness of the padding. It says “DOTâ€Â, but is probably not the safest helmet on the market. It does look as close to a Davida as the pictures indicate – very retro. I find it to look most ‘dashing’ with a pair of goggles. Now all I need is the silk scarf.
