I'm not entirely sure how this counts as a "Ferrari-themed" chopper (must be the red paint and huge scoops in the front), but it runs a Triumph 955 triple.

http://podcasts.autoblog.com/2007/02/09/prancing-steel-horse-custom-scuderia-ferrari-chopper/

What I find odd is that they put actual Ferrari motors into sport bikes, so why not the chopper?

Wow ... that looks stupid! What will we see next?
Just out of curiosity, which sports bikes have Ferrari engines?

If they really wanted a Ferrari look, they should have just picked up a Guzzi Griso.

Ferrari and chopper together is an oximoron, or just a moron. Maybe a ferrari themes sport bike or drag bike even? How come nobody makes custom sport bikes? At any rate, it shouldn't be a raked out chopper. Maybe one like the guy 8 ball? Or 13 choppers? I forget, but he does low bikes with not much rake at all. Then it might make sense.

You are right about the motor tho, why not a boss-hoss-ish V8 screamer?

Ok out of boredom I went back and watched the video. So it can be riden (in straght lines and wide slow turns). But it looks even more stupid while moving.

Suggestion:

Go out and purchase the latest Walnecks Vintage and Classic Motorcycle magazine OR type into your computer...www.garagecompany.com...to see what I think is a better(and more tasteful) "Ferrari" chopper.(it's actually more a "Bobber", I guess)

Yoshi, the owner of this shop located in SoCal and the creator(who you'll see on this site) of this machine(also pictured) that was given to the retiring Formula-1 Ferrari-driving great, Michael Schumacher(also pictured) is one friendly and imaginative guy, who's love of motorcycling is legendary in this area.

Walk into his shop and you'll think you've gone through some kind of time-warp and into the kind of M/C shop that almost never exists anymore.(no hermetically-sealed chrome parts hanging uniformly on some sterile wall)

Cheers,
Dwight

Oh, I don't know about that, Stewe.

Had a 124 Spider for many years(15) of dependable service.

That 1.8L DOHC motor in that thing was actually a very nice design....to say nothing of the Pininfarina-penned body of that beautiful little sucker.

I can image that the severe winters of Sweden are probably pretty harsh on cars(yes, okay...especially Fiats), but here in SoCal, I can say that I had pretty good luck with that little 124 o' mine.

Cheers,
Dwight
(sorry....didn't mean to rub the "winter thing" in, ol' boy)

In rust prone Pennsylvania you could expect to go through about 8 - 10 124 Spiders in that time period - regardless of engine condition.

I worked at a Fiat dealership during high school. I loved those little buggers - all of them, the 850 Spider even the 128 sedans. The 124 Spider was the top of the hill for me though.

Those things would arrive with a thick coat of cosmoline (sp?) apparently to keep the salt sea breeze from rotting them away before they got to port. We would soak and scrub them in kerosene to get it off. What memories.

That is an insult to Ferrari. Enzo (god rest his soul) would turn in his grave.

The creater of this should be shot at dawn for disrespecting one for the finest motor companies the world has ever seen.

Ooh, i dont know. Fiat have made some good cars. The spiders spring to mind, and what was that rally car they made that had the Ferrari Dino engine in it. That was a sweet car.

I might even go as far as to admit that the Fiat X1/9 was not such a bad little motor. A mate of mine had one and he loved it. Mind you, he was a hairdresser

Well Barry,
I guess this is where I "confess" to have had THREE Fiats in my younger days.

My first car was a two year old '69 124 Sport Coupe(nice car...only problems: Starter replaced, and the heater-valve replaced)

Traded that one in on a new '74 X1/9. Solid little wedge-shaped(the vogue then) targa-topped mid-engined car. No problems....but that little 1.4L engine made it really underpowered. Sold it around '77, so I could buy one of them there new fangled Kawasaki JET-SKIs and a nice used little Toyota station-wagon to haul it around. Sold both, a couple of years later.

After a few other cars('65 Mustang Convertible among them...yeah, there's one that got away, darn it...also had at least one M/C during all this time), I remembered that I always liked the 124 Spiders, and so in '84, bought a very low mileage '77. Sold that in '99.

Gonna get me another Spyder(spelled with a "Y' this time)...'cuz I WILL get me a Beck(Porsche replica)550 Spyder within the next year or two.(I KNOW I can find a nice used one for around $20K)

(The wife's still giving me that "yeah right!" look, every time I mention this)

Cheers,
Dwight
(by the way Mark....I DO cut my own hair....but THAT(and owning an X1/9) doesn't make me a "Hairdresser", now does it???!!!)

Well sorry. But in the sports car crowd that i used to hang with back in old blighty, the X1/9 WAS concidered a Haridressers car.

But dont feel so bad Dwight. So was the Metalic Lime Green Triumph TR7 Covertible that i used to drive.

The quote came from the site on which the bike is posted- I think it sums it up well!
