I just remembered that at the first Kootenay Raid that Freedom and I attended the bike that won the "best of" price was a sport bike, not sure which model - they all look alike to me, that had a the RAT logo on the front fender. That's some self-serving sh!te. After that they stopped giving out awards for the best bike. Probably because more Americas, including my custom, were showing up.

So Triumph lives or dies with RAT? Get real folks. We are all officially, soon to be, Ben Gray rat droppings. The rat is dead the riders live on. Bonnevilleamerica.com has more organized rides, for longer durations, with more like minding operators than rat ever had. Period. NTBF also can boast the same. Rat has always been an interloper vis-à-vis the mindset of her customers. HOG is another way Hardley numbs the minds of the moranic masses. RAT failed because we the riders of Triumph motorsickles are not moronic masses. Perhaps in a couple of decades RAT will have mindless drones to cater to. Today we live free and ride proud.

But ya SEE Grump, that's what's so friggin' COOL about our rides!!!

BECAUSE they're the BEST HANDLING CRUISER out there on the market, one can still easily "get there" ahead of everybody else if one really wishes to...RIGHT?!

(okay...so I ride a "little fast" sometimes)

And Moe.....well said!

Cheers,
Dwight

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
