Could you talk to your credit union about two loans? Mine offers a revolving credit loan (like a personal loan). It works off a percentage of your savings to figure the top amount. If you used that loan to kill the credit cards and knock a little off the top of a new vehicle loan, maybe that would work. If they are your only debtor sometimes they are willing to loan more. Just my uninformed twisted little thoughts. (My credit union gave me a 5% loan. My friend got a 4.9% from her local credit union, she has a car and bike loan and over 20,000 in student loans).

Have you tried talking to Carl at Winchester motorsports? He's always willing to work something out. He's the main reason I went there vice the place in Muderland.

They were either or situations not all. But you paid credit card loans slow. Thats bad, real bad. It drops your rating radically.
I said something because much of the talk was on how to get a loan and not on how to pay it. You didn't share that you were healthy enough to buy it cash. Was trying to get you back to reality before you got buried in debt.
I apologize for caring about your financial health. Did not mean to hurt your feelings.

BY all means CHECK YOUR CREDIT REPORT!!! I found out last year I had $35,000 in debt listed to American Express on an account I never opened!! Never did get a straight answer on how it happened, but they cleared it up after MANY phone calls and letters.

Yes I was late on credit card payments 4 years ago, and that did hurt my credit score, but its been 4 years and I'm current on everything and have been since, it just seems like along time to hold it against me. I'm just frustrated.................

What is hurting me, is when I was struggling in the past I went 30,60 and 90 days late on some Capital One credit cards, I immediately paid them off and cancelled them, but that was only about 4 years ago.
Capital One is probably the worst. Easy credit, but then they screw you at every turn. Late fees, I can understand, but overlimit fees - come on! Then you probably hurt your credit score even more by closing those accounts. Capital One has a way of fouling up your credit like nobody else - then the only way to get credit is through Capital One (with their high rates, annual fees, etc.). They'll loan to anybody - including the day after a bankruptcy. Seen it many, many times and advise everybody I know to stay far, far away from Capital One.

There is currently a lawsuit pending against Capitol One because they report their customers as slow pay even if they are not. They do this so other credit card companies will not raid their customer base. Plus they will be the first to sue you and garnish your wages if you are having problems. I know from first hand experience

I was also a victim of Capitol One's false reporting. I made many phone calls and sent many letters and they never corrected it. It is the one and only "black" mark on my credit report. It was from 2000, and I printed off a credit report this week and it is STILL on there. I've gotten some 0% interest offers from them since, But NO WAY will ever work with them again.

I agree 1000%, they show alot of late payments on my credit report (Capital One) (2003) I don't think I made anywhere near that many late payments, I guess I could try to contest it.

Unfortunately a 619 FICO is like having no credit at all. Something is screwed up. You need to take your credit reports to an accountant and have him look it over. 4 years isn't enough time to clear up a bad dept. You may be able to appeal to the credit companies. Good Luck!

There is a guy with my name, different middle initial that owes everyone in the world. He used to live in Austin but has borrowed money in the mid west, Tennessee and no telling where else.
Since I'm in the phone book, the collection agencies call me wanting to collect. So far they have been understanding when I told them I was not this guy. I tried contacting the credit agencies over the net to a free report and see what is on my record and could not get past the place where they want to charge you for it. I've not giving them my credit card number!
Does anyone know how to actually contact a credit agency and talk to a real person or at least get my FREE report?
