I had painted my bonnies head pipes and cans with bbq black, held up for 9k miles last season just fine. Easy to touchup as well. I recently tore the bike down to make some modification's and had a ton of stuff powdercoated.
Including the pipes and cans with a 1000* hightemp coating. Someone else around here has done this with success...hoping for the same.
