I just saw this over on TriumphRat site...pretty cool link to Jojje at the drags on his 150hp Bonneville. Click HereIf it's been posted already I apologize. I like the way he cracks thru the gears.

Always enjoy reading about Jojje's exploits on the track. Have you seen his latest bike? This is what he ran last season. Everything built himself...frame, wheelie bars, etc. Not much left of the original Bonneville.
You can see a video doing a run here. He's up to 200 hp now.

Well, there are some very nice folk on this site. What makes Jojje so much nicer? I don't know anything about smart - so, I won't contest that one.

I see times of around 6.2 (or believe that's what I see). What's the distance?

He's still getting a little popping when shifting. Maybe he should go out a bit on the screws???

I've never dealt with him, but I do know he has been very generous with his knowlege and help with people who have technical problems.

It was a joke, Ben. He11, even Frank got it and he's from MA. No need to defend Jojje - he's our Euro-Dinqua for cryin' out loud...

Oh ok Sorry my sense of the obvious is being sucked from me by the Gilmour Girls which I am being forced to sit thru at the moment Also, I think his name is mentioned in-frequently enough that some people may have never heard of him. Sorta like Robert

Again -I think its about to get lost in the thread - What's the typical drag strip distance at a Euro-Venue?

I'll have to defend him. There's no man controlling the TV. I'm a lone male in a house filled with estrogen - I didn't get to watch anything but girl TV until I decided to live my waking hours in seclusion. Me, the game room and my TV. Its the only way it can work. Although when I showed up at my daughters' graduation parties, they thought I was crashing and asked who I was.

That's an 1/8th mile track. His best time with the bike I posted is 5.77, but he never did get it to run right. I think a 6.14 was his best time on the bike that TonyG posted. Quote:

Hard to do since he's running fuel injection.

I heard someone call a guy a "Jenny" the other day, another good new one
Well guys today is Kim's 30th B day, so there was NO taking the remote last night!! No sir. We do have another TV in the bedroom, so there are plenty of nights when we watch seperate shows, but I figured I would be nice. Good thing I could pretty much type anything while the show is on and she wouldn't notice even tho she was right next to me

Oh boy, Benny! Slippery slope, there dude!
First it's..."Honey, I wanna watch the "Gilmore Girls", 'cuz it's my birthday!". THEN comes a few more hours of the WE Network, followed closely by hours upon hours of HGTV!!!
After a few hours of this, YOUR next move is to go into the other room to watch the Speed Channel, The History Channel(which of course the wife refers to as "The HITLER Channel), and that umpteenth time of "The Great Escape".(starring You-Know-Who, riding a You-Know-What) on TCM.
And THEN, to top it all off, after this "arrangement" becomes comfortable for you....the wife will walk into the room JUST as you've settled down to watch your DVD of "On Any Sunday", and says...."Why is it that we don't seem to do things TOGETHER anymore???
Cheers,
Dwight
(just a friendly warning, dude)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Not a thing, really. Just pullin' your leg. I spend quite a bit if time up in the Worcester, Waltham, Concord, Lexington, Boston areas a few years back. Most of the work time was in Waltham. Boston was a PIA though, The Big Dig was in full swing and traffic was a nightmare. It always seemed I was there in winter months. I wish I could have spent some summer time there. One of my favorite restaurants/bars was Vinnie Testa's in Lex. The ultimate meal was the Frutti de Mare. Delicious and big as a wash tub. - Well enough tread hijacking...
