Thanks Pete! The Meyer family is all good here in Port Orange. I was out of town on business, and the storm came within 3 or 4 miles of our house. Got a bunch of rain and wind, but nothing devastating. I have heard that the biggest twister exited our area via Ponce Inlet. This is not far from our house!

FYI - this the second consecutive business trip for me in which a tornado has struck our area.

Thanks for checking in

Ryan

Glad to hear you're fine Ryan.
Yea, we've been slackers in asking about you Floridians, but us yankees have been busy shoveling snow and stoking fires.
Hope the rest of ya are all okay too.
Haven't heard from moe though...hope all is well with him and Lynn.

Been here since Sunday. Its a mess! 20 dead and several areas where all are homeless. As ususal the folks have stepped up to ensure nobody goes hungry or without medicine.

The folks here in the Deland area are real troopers. Giving and giving without thought for themselves. It is sad to see the victims but refreshing to see the outpouring of help.

If ever you get to thinking America is cold hearted, you should visit a disaster area. An older man in a very old truck with tattered clothes pulled a non running motorhome up today. He gave it up for somebody to be able to sleep dry this week. Just brings tears to your eyes watching the donations and the help roll in.

I have noticed, as usual, those with the least tend to give the most.

I try to aggravate one person a day. Today may be your day.

From everything I have seen all the damage was along the I-4 corridor. With most of it being just north of I-4. In the summer the most violent thunderstorms tend to run West to East along I-4.
