Indian used S&S at the beginning of the production, but they developed their own PowerPlus 100 (named after an older Indian motor the PowerPlus) for the 2003 & 2004 model years. The PowerPlus 100 motors weren't built by S&S they were actually built by Power Assembly Solutions of Livonia Michigan. The PowerPlus 100 put out about 68 HP at 5200 RPM.
