This winter's weather has been driven by El Nino, not global warming.

But temperatures on the whole are rising; "last year was the warmest in the contiguous United States in more than a century, and 11 of the last 12 years rank among the 12 warmest years on record."

On the other hand, temps in Antarctica have been going down and Eastern Europe has had a few years of the coldest winters recorded. We have a long way to go until we are as warm as the Northern Hemisphere was in the middle ages when they grew grapes in Britain.

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.
