I don't have a very good feeling about this game, but I felt the same way before the NFC Championship.
"Well they call me Sweetness, and I like to dance. Running the ball is like making romance. We've had the goal since training camp, to bring Chicago a Super Bowl Champ. And we're not doin' this because we are greedy, the Bears are doin' it to feed the needy. And I didn't come here lookin' for trouble, I just came to do the Super Bowl Shuffle."

Ryan, you must have watched the remake of Brian's song this weekend? I think it's been running all weekend on one channel or the other. Not a Bears fan, but would love to see the Fridge(I think he's the whole kitchen) do the Super Bowl Shuffle.

No, I didn't know about it. "Brian's Song" has always been one of my favorites. I went to youtube.com to review a few things this morning in preparation for tonight.

One thing about the Super Bowl. It seems often historically the game becomes a walk over ...no contest more often than not. One team comes out and it becomes clear within the first 10 minutes of the opening kickoff that one team is "ON".
Lets hope we have a real contest ..a game for the ages.

How many times must we take this disgrace Another Bears fan throwing insults in our face The Packers are the greatest team to ever play the game Even if from time to time they've been a little lame
The Bears still suck, the Bears still suck The Bears still suck, the Bears still suck They really really really really really really suck Yes the Bears…Still…Suck

Yeah, the Packers are great!
I sure they are warm, sitting at home when its zero degrees outside, watching the BEARS on TV in the super bowl!
The thought of that really makes me smile.
GO BEARS!

Rats......it looks like Mr Peyton Manning is beginning to get warmed up and is hitting his passes. Thats not good for Da Bears.
Peyton has the edge on a rainy day in my opinion. If the rain continues through the second half we will have to see how it affects the passing game.
Its classic in the trenches down there. Wet and stinkin and snot flying everywhere.
Its clearly hard to hang on to the football as evidenced by multiple fumbles back to back one team giving it up and then getting it back.

Da Bears need to figure out how to stop the Colts running game real quick or its gonna be all over but the tears.
Right now watching this opening Colt drive in the second half I see the Colts winning the physical battle handily. They are that silly step faster and hitting just a hair harder.

11 minutes 44 seconds left in the second half and just as I thought Da Bears were beginning to find the seams in the Colts pass defense they throw that game defining interception. (sigh)

It was a good clean game. Different in that both of the teams seem to be franchises without big egos and stars who are down to earth.
It was the kind of football game in which you somewhow hated to see either team win. Both coaches class individuals. Its a shame someone had to lose. There were no calls by the refs that impacted the game that were questionable. It was a good well played game that I think when broken down simply saw the Bears outplayed in the trenches. That and the key interceptions that stole opportunities from the Bears.

Steve, do you think Manning desvered the MVP? He didn't have a great game. I think Addi or the whole Colts defense should have got it. Or at least the guy whose first interception he ran back for a td in the superbowl. I have to hand it to ya. That defense has really come together in the post season.

The better team won, and it is not all on Rex Grossman. The Bears offensive line has been overrated all year. Losing Tommy Harris crushed our defensive scheme, and Ron Rivera could not adjust. I hope Ronnie takes his show on the road allowing Mike Singeltary to become our new defensive coordinator. Re-sign Coach and Lance Briggs and draft a friggin' qb. Better luck next year. Ryan

Manning seems like very nice guy but guy, what a Whiner!! Seemed like every play there was a childish protest...either against his receivers or referees. I got sick of it. I agree, he got his ring, I don't want to hear another word about him.

Being in Indianapolis I'm wondering were in the hell that defence came from myself. What get's me is the goof balls saying that they knew all along that the Colts D was going to figure it out and make a Good play off run! Come on folks even I can admit I thought we were toast and was destined for an other abysmal post season. I was still pulling for my team and hoping some how that my concerns were miss placed. Well It's one of those times that I can say I'm really delighted to have been dead wrong!

Following the game, in the parking lot outside a Flathead valley bar (?), a Bears fan became indignant over something a happy Colts said. The insulted Bears fan retrieved a pistol and shot the happy Colts fan. The happy Colts fan is now recovering in critical care, the indignant Bears fan is contemplating next year's season in a Flathead Co. jail cell.
So What? I (Packers fan) was talking to the chief public defender (ardent Vikings fan) in the hallway Tuesday afternoon, when he received a cell phone call. Guess whose office was handed the indignant, but now sober Bears fan defense?
I think there's a spot of irony in there somewhere?
