My bike was built 10/2002 and apparently did'nt come with the tach plug under the dash. Does anyone know how I can wire this tach in.It looks like I need to get a red wire form the ignitor(which is'nt there)Does anyone know where you can get the wiring pins so I can makeup a wire to run to the dash?

Mine is of similar vintage. Someone was nice enough to send me the red wire that game with the triumph tach wiring kit. That red wire plugs into a connector coming off the ignitor, then I tapped into the dash. I'd have to go out and see where on the bike it is exactly, but it's lik 14 deg out... But I did need that red wire, and it did have the little tab on the end to plug into the back of that connector. If someone finds a picture of one it would be easier to explain.

Pin 16 of the igniter connector is the tach output. Hope that helps.

hey pete i have a 02 BA I PUT A TACH IN IT and the instructions said you had to run the wire in to the headlamp assembly but i had to wire it up in my dash if you look their is one open whole in one side of the connector i just stuck the wire in that whole and it worked i talked to my triumph dealer he told me that i hope i helped you

seems that in my 2001 america wires were swaped by previous owner
