I'm getting a set of z bars with a 4 inch rise and some 1 inch risers for mine. Plus I would like to eliminate the crossover brake line on the dual front brakes and a larger rim for the back. I hate the 15" rear rim with that much rubber on there it makes the front look small. Even though it's a bigger rim on the front. Diffently want to lower it both front & back. The stock fenders and lights gotta go also.

Are they still Triumphs after we've changed almost everything?
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Very little...
Added back rest and rack Played with and continue to play with several variations of silencers. Added a Harley clutch cable boot Fabricated and installed chrome bungee anchors Changed several tyres, brakes, oil, filters, and a few light bulbs.
The AI remains in tact w/ nearly 20,000 miles - primarily as proof of my hypothesis that "Bad wrenching and uncontrolled experimentation are the primary causes for bluing."

I prefer the switchblades. I had the same problem (most folks do)so I got them adjusted the way I wanted them and used JB weld on the cone shaped adapters. Problem solved, it sounds drastic but they kept coming loose with locktite and chisle marks. JB Weld did the trick. I figure the worst it could be is I'd need a new set of adapters if I needed to change the pitch. It became a safety issue with me and I didn't want them coming loose no matter what happened.

I glad to note that someone else realized that you can super glue the brake calbe retainer back together. Mine broke the first year, I super glued it back together and it's still intact.

Since I suffer from chronic 'Laka Moola Moola' its been limited to:
16" JCW Shorties- much lighter
Rotated the stock bars down so they just clear the tank at full lock
Mobil One
Pulled the AI hose from the airbox, folded over, tie wrap, plugged the airbox hole with black duct tape
HH brake pads front/rear- amazing difference
Steelheart- '03 Speedmaster Black/Yellow
The Hayabusa Killa
16" Shorties/140 mains/Airbox drilled
Procom CDI
