ok well today i put 130's in and pulled the snorkle out. i have thunderbike pipes, the air fuel screws are 3 turns out each. before jetting i had the snorkle in and when i let off the throttle it would have lots of small pops. not with the bigger jets and no snorkle it has less pops but they are louder. any suggestions?

Either turn the screws out another 1/2 to one full turn or put in 45 pilots and start with 1 turn out.

Frank, Listen to Nad Crusher.... I have nearly the same set up as you and my pilot screws went to 4 left and 5 1/4 right before the popping went away....

I can get mine to completely stop popping at around 4 - 4 1/2 turns on the idle mixture screws. BUT, that costs me about 5 MPH at the top end, so I just let it pop a little.

Good question...I just got the tbike pipes too. Ran 130/42/3 turns. Seemed a little lean (plug centers are white) and lotsa popping. Went to 135 and 3 1/2 turns...popping is much reduced, but still seems a little lean on the right cylinder, so I broke down the carbs and gave them a good cleaning and synched em' (I had bought the bike in Dec...who knows how long it was sitting with fuel in it)...waiting for a clear day now.
