Anyone have this combination? I'm considering the Memphis Shades slim 17" & Triumph Light bar and was curious if they interfere with each other in anyway...

Hi Bill,
You'll have no problem. I have a 17" Slim and a 19" Fats. The light bar is well below the bottom of windscreen. If you use oversize lamps it may be a problem. The front blinkers reflect bad off the Fats at night. When I get my lightbar (or when I find one at a reasonable price), I plan to relocate my turn signals.

Hi Again Bill,
You'll need the MemphisShades mounting kit for the Suzuki Marauder 800. Kit#9907 (i think). I found a new one on ebay for less than $50. After installing, MAKE SURE you check your clearances between the bracket and gas tank. I learned that one the hard way. I was nauseated for the rest of the day when I saw that small sharp dent in my perfect 2.5 year old paint. Sickening.

While you're at it, you should also consider the Memphis Shades lowers kit. It really cuts down on the wind that hits you in the head coming up from around the front of the tank.

The key if you order these is to get the proper mounting kit. Since Memphis Shades doesn’t list our beloved bikes, you need to order a kit for the Yamaha V-Star Classic (the 1100cc version). The part number is MEM9891. You can order the lowers in a variety of colors. I just got clear.

I have the setup and it works fine. I am 6'-3" tall and the windshield is a bit low for me. Beats the hell out of my head at higher speeds. It helps that I have mostly empty space inside myhead. I have read here somewhere that the little light visors help with that somewhat.

Women and cats will do as they please. Men and dogs should just get used to that fact and relax

Thanks for the info guys! As always this site provides invaluable info! On the head buffeting I should be OK w/the 17" being that I'm 5'7".
P.S. Steeler Fan: Good luck Sunday! That is definitely going to be a great game!
