Has anyone put hard brake lines on the Speedy? The reason I was asking I was thinking of eliminating the line that is attached to the fender by running to hard lines down the forks and then putting braided lines to the brakes. And is there anyone that knows if there is a "Y" made to do this sort of thing?

If I remember correctly the viragos use a splitter mounted on the lower fork yoke that'd probably work. If not you could just put two banjos with an appropriate bolt on the master and run two separate brake lines down the forks.

I was hoping not to run two lines from the lever down to the brakes. Just trying to clean up the handlebars they just seem so cluttered with stuff!

Not sure if these are what you're looking for but I found these on the J & P web site. Catalog

Didn't look at the link that Tinman provided, but it's pretty easy to buy individual goodridge fittings and lines separately to make your own brake lines, this is what I've done fore and aft. I paid about $10 a fitting on bikebandit for the two banjo fittings on the rear brake circuit, and about $32 for the brake line.

You will find a Y splitter in the J&P catalogue that will suit your purpose. just make sure you buy the correct hose and fittings for the other brake.....Angelis
