Bonnie Bramlett was the first caucasian girl to sing with Ike & Tina's Ikettes. She then married Delaney Bramlett, and soon after they signed with Stax records. Among the artirst who toured and recorded with them were Duane Allman, Dave Mason, Eric Clapton, George Harrison. Their core band went on to become Derek & The Dominoes and Joe Cocker's Mad Dogs and Englishmen.

Not too many white girls can sing a torch song like she could. She is also known for doing time for punching Elvis Costello after some drunken comments he made regarding Ray Charles. Their daughter Bekka toured with Fleetwood Mac.
