I saw Page and Plant in concert mid nineties, had seats off to the side and noticed Plant reading from a teleprompter for the words.

I love the Ike and Tina version of Proud Mary. We played that at a friend's wedding. It killed

From the extremely trivial trivia department -

Bonnie Bramlett was the first caucasian girl to sing with Ike & Tina's Ikettes. She then married Delaney Bramlett, and soon after they signed with Stax records. Among the artirst who toured and recorded with them were Duane Allman, Dave Mason, Eric Clapton, George Harrison. Their core band went on to become Derek & The Dominoes and Joe Cocker's Mad Dogs and Englishmen.

Whatsis have to do with anything? I don't really know - just a brain burp I s'pose. I just know when she sang slow blues, it would send shivers up one side of your spine and down the other. Not too many white girls can sing a torch song like she could. She is also known for doing time for punching Elvis Costello after some drunken comments he made regarding Ray Charles. Their daughter Bekka toured with Fleetwood Mac.

Very cool!! That is the kind of stuff I read in CD jackets, ya know? Back when everyone started getting music online (when it was free) I was still buying it from stores because of info like that.

Joe Cocker's version of Gambler's Blues (St James Infirmary) is one of my all time favs.

Couldn't find it on iTunes, I'll have to keep searching. I REALLY like Joe Cocker, and a lot of his remakes. I like that he makes them his own, so it is ok to like both the original and his.
