Ride Safe, Dennis Triumph, it's how I live and what I ride.

How Many Dollars? It is a bit tupperware-ish in appearance, but my God what a ride.

Skillet,
If it's a powerful, yet nimble long-distance tourer you are looking for, you can't go wrong with that.
It also looks much better close up.

It sure does. I took a good look and sat on one a month or two ago. It is sweeeeet. The one I looked at had that huge tupperware trunk too. A travelin' machine, for sure.

You may have also noticed that the windshield in the picture above is much taller and wider than the original (which also looks much better).
The one above looks like a Cee-Baileys aftermarket unit.

I got to test ride one of the K1200R bikes the other week... Um... Er...

WOW.

Factory says 163HP on tap.

Reminded me why I'm not allowed to have nice sportbikes; it'll do 100mph in 3rd gear out of 6. And she's smooth as can be. Just linear power.

Tell you what I found this for sale at a local shop and I'm impressed.
1998 BMW R1100RT Color:Black Mileage:163,031 1998 BMW R1100RT
Motorcycle $4,995.00 Click here for more details.

Yes they said that was the correct mileage.
Puts my lousy 5k a year to shame.

I'm clicking, I'm clicking, nothing happens. One of our riding buddies has a K-bike, 130,000 miles. Never adjusted valves or anything.

Ok, they have one. It's not quite the same bike. It's an '03 1200RS, $10,999.

If I had the money and was going to get a touring bike. BMW K1200GT would be my pick. I sat on the K1200LT and it was nice but I liked the GT because it was a little sportier and didn't have that Goldwing look to the bike.
