We're not slamming ya... but WD40 or any penetrating oil is not good on sealed chains. It can dry out the x-ring/o-ring seals and also dilute and displace the internal lube in the chain. Chain wax has the opposite effect, it allows a large amount of grungy dirty lube to build up on the outside of the chain, which is almost as bad. Kerosene is a heavier oil that will work to clean a chain without affecting or penetrating the seals...
