Joker,
I never did a baseline stock dyno so I can't comment on that, book says about 54, sounds right to me.
I ran the mikuni carbs for awhile but they just would not dial in without running way too rich. I had to pretty much shut the things off and starve the cylinders which I figure was defeating the purpose of $2k worth of pretty bits. I did many many dyno runs with the mikunis and various pipes, trying to get rid of the stutter caused by the overrichness - never did, I averaged about 64-65hp at rear wheel with that setup.
Now I have the freak, K&Ns, 160 mains and thunderbike pipes. I dynoed before installing the TBS needles and got a beautiful straight line at 45° and about 65hp 50 or so flat torque line. Hm, pretty much the same as with the mikunis. I don't remember exact specs, but i still have the printout home somewhere.I have since put in the tBS needles and it helped a minute blip in the 3500rpm area. It pulls hard and strong and hits that red line cutoff much quicker now. Even got to hammer it a few miles yesterday. I will be doing the big bore soon and get dyno printouts when I get it all broken in as well.
