I like it.
A lot of members here lowered their bikes. This bike's about 6" lower than the Modern Triumph Classics. It has a little longer wheelbase, but is 2" shorter in length. A little over 79 ft. lbs of torque at 4k RPM gives it just over 60 HP (79.1 x 4000 / 5252 = 60.2) "out of the box". It's a bit on the heavy side, almost 100lbs heavier, so this probably evens things out. Triumph doesn't break down it's gear ratios, so true stock comparisons are difficult. Handling comparisons are difficult to quantify.
I never cared for both pipes being on one side, how would it look with pipes on both sides similar to the cross-over they use on their touring bikes?
Never being a fan of forward controls (thus my floorboards, a fair compromise), I like the idea of their position on the Sportster line.
I applaud HD's marketing and willingess to turn some of the money around from bobble-head sales to promote the business with some change. Although cosmetic in nature, it's still nice to see.
Just my 2 zloty,
Tom
