Here I was thinking I'd bought into an exclusive and finer marque of bike and what do I read.. about thirty messages from newbies all buying or just bought or can't decide which to buy.. enough already!!! What's wrong with Harleys?? Go and buy a V-Twin.. you know it makes sense..

Now Rich, you were a newbie once. We'd all like Triumph's to stay scarce but it's not going to happen. Just take solice in the fact that you won't see your bike every 5 mins like a Harley. Instead of every 6 months or so you may see one every month. At least more accessories will be available.

It's too late Rich, the word is out.
The percentage you're paying is too high-priced

No, no, no! More Triumph owners = more aftermarket and cheaper prices. The next thing you know we'll have seats by Mustang and Le Pera, or open the J&P Cycles catalog and actually find fitment info for our bikes.
But if you want to keep that exclusiveness, just move to Arizona. There's only a handful of ba.com members that live here.

There's only a handful of anything that can live there! I know, it's a dry heat. I wrote Mustang again in December, just being curious. They replied, "We have no intention of making seats for Triumph motorcycles in the future". She didn't even mention "near future". By the way, I love Arizona.

Geez, Derek! Why the hell do you think I'm moving to AZ anyway???!!! Out here in California, where ALL trends begin, for better or worse(yeah, yeah, I KNOW, many of you Heartlanders would say "mostly worse" ), there seems to be MILLIONS of these here Triumphs running on the roads!(yeah, that's...ahem...YEAR ROUND running on the roads BTW, you poor Heartlanders you )
Ya see....I just gots ta be "special"!(fragile ego, ya know), and I'm just not standin' out from the crowd of smart and savy motorcycle owners 'round here anymore!
Cheers,
Dwight

It's funny, I still rarely see Trumpets in London, tho' to be honest there's probably a fair few Daytonas and Speed Triples that don't even register with me as Triumphs. More can only be a good thing. I'm moving to South West Ireland later this year where I'm pretty sure I'll be the only one.. :-(

Talking about unique, it's been almost 4 years since I originally started lurking on this site. During all this time I have never seen another SpeedMaster (other than my own) and have only seen one America (that was 3 years ago) in Greece. Some people have thought I have chopped (because of the raked-out forks) and re-built an old one. These people have congratulated me on doing a great job.

Fortunately, you (& many others) got that lurking business out of your system. Lurked myself for a few weeks, feared looking dumb. Realizing that's a given, I jumped right in .
By the way, nice bike. I won't ask what year it is??

Hi Richb, you are right, you have bought into an exclusive and finer marque. A Triumph will still turn heads and people will want to talk to you about this famous bike.

Wayyyyyy back when all my friends rode Yamaha's, Honda's, HD's and the like, me and another friend rode Triumphs, he a '70 Bonnie and me a '74 Daytona. I still have the '74 and ride once in a while. Never got that Triumph blood out of me. 32 years later I got a BA, love it. I guess I'll have to wait another 32 years for my next one.
Still turning heads

Once Triumph is in ya blood it never goes, unlike Harleys that come and go. We go our own way
