Hi Guys,
So I guess what I have is a good ol combo question:
When I bought my bike last August I had my dealer order the Rivco from Brent and trade it out for the Triumph lightbar they had installed. In one of the links above it sounds like the Rivco directions say to connect it to the 'console lights' (our speedo lamp) which is what they did. They mounted a metal toggle switch on the side of the headlight bucket which is what I think they do to mount up the Triumph light bar.
So my 5A fuse blows every time I switch them on. Awhile back I asked what to do and you guys told me to get the Triumph lightbar wiring harness. My dealer shipped it out last week.
If I get this now it already has the relay wired up in it? Once I get into the bike will it be obvious what to do on the Triumph side of things? (Who knows what the dealer's guy did...) I know my way around a wrench, but this will be my first real bonding time with my bike.:) Yes I have the AI kit to do at the same time!
BTW Snert: I haven't ridden much at night (Because the lightbar doesn't work! ARGH!) but the quality of the unit itself is great. It's milled from a solid chunck of metal. I got it because I wanted to relocate the pumpkins and because I thought that the sheet metal tabs on the ends of the Triumph bar looked kinda cheesy.
