Ryan - I've sounded off about this before, but I had a belt on my old FXRS and put 35,000+ on it. I lived on miles of gravel road. The belt got a rock or two jammed in the sprocket - it was easy to know it was there because of the racket. The cure was getting rid of the chain, er, belt guard. Once it was off, I never caught another rock and I was riding maybe 8- 10 miles of gravel to get to town and back.
Other than that, the belt got adjusted when I bought new tires and never any other time. I never knew it was there.
Whether or not that'll be the experience with the one Brent sells, I guess time will tell. I've gotten an email from the guy who makes 'em - Ozzie Oswald. He told me it was the same as the HD belt. Friar John really likes his.
The Sears lift (I have one) is terrific, inexpensive, and does the job. Adjusting and lubing the chain is a snap with that gizmo.
Decisions, decisions!
