Belts are a little quieter, not that you'd notice if you have proper pipes.
Belts might need to be adjusted up to 5 times during their entire life, once or twice soon after installation, the rest when they really should be replaced because they are worn out.
One belt will usually last 3 to 6 chains.
On the other hand;
On our Triumphs, you have to remove the swingarm to install a belt.
It takes a little more power to bend a belt around the "sprockets", but you probably won't notice unless you test the before and after times at a dragstrip.
A rock or other object is more likely to ride a belt through the sprocket than it would a chain. This will likely ruin the belt and your day.
