If you have the '06 SM then you have the 865cc engine, as have I.
This engine is setup to have even more "grunt" than the 790cc so what you are experiencing is not right, by any means.

I would suggest you forget the performance parts (and sprockets) until you get it sorted out with someone who can help you (your dealer, perhaps).
