I don't get the touring bike thing. I like traditional style bikes that spawned the rebel/outlaw/non-conformist vision of bikers, and are functional rather than pretty.
If you need that much 'fashion' kit to take a holiday, then you won't be welcome at many of the places that require you to wear it.

I get embarrassed when I see the Oldwing or BMW fraternity and their ugly obese flying sofas - particularly those towing trailers.
Ok I'll go so far as to say if it hasn't got an engine with visible 'pots' that you can count, then it's not for me, and that goes for the RIII.
