Howdy, y'all. This is my first post here, as I'm the new proud owner of an '03 Speedmaster, courtesy of Clinton Cycles outside DC. (And I seriously suspect this won't be my last )

Anyway, my question is: Has anybody tried a set of CRG "Hindsight" bar-end mirrors on either their BA or SM (pref the latter)? I had a set on my SV650, and they were absolutly fantastic! I'm looking to replace the stock mickey mouse ears, and I'm wondering if I can use the CRGs. They're expensive, but they don't vibrate at all, and they give excellent coverage.

Thanks for the input!

Congratulations on a sweet bike and welcome aboard!!

Looks like Brent at newbonneville.com sells those mirrors:

Looks like they come with the proper adaptors too...

I must say I hate the stock mirrors but the bar end ones look small.

Yeah, they're pretty small and unobtrusive -- that's why they're cool. They're convex so as to give a really wide view, though. I dunno how well they'd work on the SM's handlebars, but they were really outstanding on my SV.

Jaegar:
Glad you made the jump, welcome! I haven't replaced my mirrors yet, but will do so for something more stylish after this season (I keep blowing my bike budget!) I've saved these links for potential purchases:
JC Whitney Mirrors

J&P Cycles Mirrors

Ride Gear Mirrors

Those links might give you something to consider. The really small mirrors look cool but I'm sure they are quite limited field-of-vision wise. I'll probably compromise.

Just noticed you are a NOVA guy. I was down in Alexandria (Woodlawn) today for work. Every couple of weeks, I'm in that area. Heading back to home, I saw a ton of bikes on 95.

JC Whitney has some nice black bar end mirrors for $19.95 each (part # ZX479914Y). We put them on the kid's Speed 3 and they work very well. I got a set to put on the Thunderbird Sport, but I need to drill out the bar ends. I have not looked at the inside of the bars on the Speedmaster to see if I need to drill or not. Good value for the price.

I put the Kuyrakyn mirrors with the sigals built in and their bullit signals on the back.

The concave glass reduces vibration.

Look at the Arlen Ness line of mirrors. The louvered Cats Eye with the stealth stem look pretty nice on my TBA.

If I was to use bar end mirrors it would be a problem,my bars are 40" and to use bar end mirrors I'd be as wide as a car.
