Wooooh hooo. I'm back on. I probably won't leave here until Wednesday morning and with a stay over in Nashville, I will probably pull in Thursday afternoon. It will be storming here in Tulsa this afternoon through Wednesday so I'm glad I picked up a rain suit. Can't wait to get to to the Blue Ridge Mountains. If mert can do 1,000 miles, surely this old dude can due a measley 850.

I just bought a little package in Bryson City. The counter kid asked "are they for a motorcycle?" which apparently may have loosely translated to: "I don't feel like walking 50 feet to look for them." I've got some spares if you can't find any. Auto Zone calls them 3/16" (4,76 mm) vacuum caps.

Does anyone know if the Days Inn has laundry facilities? Or do I have the same thing all week like Yota?

Dave, a good friend of mine, lost his young son last night unexpectedly. I did not know the son, but Dave was at my fathers viewing when he passed away in 2002. The arrangements are being made this afternoon, but more than likely, the viewing will be on one day of the Rally, and I kind of feel like I should be there for Dave, as he was there for me when I needed friends. Would it be proper to just send flowers and attend the rally, or blow off the rally, 3 nights in Dahlonega, and go to the viewing? Will wait to find out details before we cancel anything. Maybe I can ride from Dahlonega to Marietta (where the viewing most likely will be), then return....we'll see....

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! A co worker told me earlier today that my name had been called in Tribal court for jury duty (a great surprise to me since I never received a letter saying I had to be there) so I call the court, and I have to be there TODAY at 2:00--and guess what? I GET PICKED.......something's telling me something. Well guys, I guess I will only be able to make the trip down on Saturday......BUMMER!! Well at least the good news is that my lady will be able to make the trip with me, so see you guys and gals on Saturday.....

Last year, my family lost my nephew, just 19 years old. Many of my friends came to pay their respects, even though they really didn't know him. Although I can only remember a couple of those that were there, I always remember which ones didn't come.

It's important to pay your respects.
They'll be other rallies.

I made it to Louisville safe and sound. It started raining pretty hard around downtown Knoxville (and it was rush hour with road construction no less) so I had to stop under an overpass to put my raingear on but you can't have a rally without a little rain so it's all good. Had a nice Dragon run. Weather was perfect and there was hardly anyone on it. See you all again on Saturday

Hey guys,

Ezcue and I had much fun at what little of the Rally we got to do. He got a phone call late yesterday ... called back this morning early and finds out that he has to be in the office Saturday morning. Apparently, the Comptroller or some such quit the day before. Anyway, hate that we had to bail out early without being able to tell anyone but you guys were all gone from the hotel this morning when we finally got our stuff packed up ... well except Pete, his blue and white ride was still in the parking lot.

Chy, great run down 19 with you, Pete and CBR7172. Wasn't sure I could keep up with you guys on the twisties but my Bonnie seemed to like it so we'll have to do that road again next year.
