To be honest, the Magna is a tad bit quicker than the Speedmaster (even with my big bore). But having a red line at 10k is the reason behind that. Besides, no way 2 cylinders can outperform 4 cylinders/ 4 carbs of comparable size.
The range on the SM is a little farther as it has a 4.4 gallon tank compared to the Magna, but we usually gas up around 110 anyway just to be safe and not end up pushing bikes.
Also, many of the cosmetic bits available for the Magnas will bolt on the Speedys too. Jane and I have identical Iso-grips and I know the saddle bag brackets fit too. So do the mirrors.
