Just picked up a Speedmaster Seat for my America. The seat fits perfect except it looks as if the center bolt that attaches the main seat and the pillion seat needs to be changed to a 'post' type bolt.
Others changing seats do the same? What do the back seat riders think of the change? More or less comfortable? Seems the height is lower, maybe less wind?
Thanks
Kevin

The attachment is a post as in item 15 from Bikebandit page. I got the piece with a tour seat that mounts like the gunfighter. I understand for a gunfighter the passenger comfort level is... not much.

Making that move, I think I would have gone for the Touring Seat - one piece, similar to the Gunfighter, but with a thicker, more inviting pillion. Not sure how the front half rides, as I've never tried one, but certainly, if there was ever a chance I might have a pillion rider, that would have been the better move.
I'm still kicking the luggage rack, backrest idea around, and the Touring Seat would be soon to follow, just for the looks of it.

Interestingly, I got the touring seat in case of passenger carrying but in the end like it immensely simply for the release mechanism (after removing the rear bolt tab).

I don't believe I have seen the 'Touring seat' Is this from Triumph or after market?

It's a Triumph part.
Thanks, I found it on the Acessories page on the Triumph website. I'll see what the wife thinks. Maybe looking for a touring seat , anybody ?
