I know that this'll probably get moved, but for maximum exposer I'm posting it here. I needed to replace my battery and after calling around I got some prices. My dealer wants $79, another bike shop near me wants $60, and Sam's warehouse wants $20-$40. So I go to Sam's and get a new battery, cost $20, and hand in the old one. I check it all out and size wise it was the same (they didn't have any books to look it up). I get it home pour the acid in and charge it up. Sat. I went to put it in and it don't fit.
ARGGGH Although it was the same size I didn't notice that the stock one had a notch in the top. The new one won't fit under the bracket, no notch. So now I'm stuck. Can anyone give me the model number of the stock battery or any that will fit so I can try and find one. Although I do try to support my dealer $79 for a battery seems high. But then again if it's my only option then I have no choice. I am in desperate need of help here.
