I saw a speedie with what looked like the dual headlights off of a speed triple mounted on it. Looked real sharp. Does anybody have any experience doing this ?

I've never done this, but the way the America/Speedmaster light is mounted, it shouldn't be terribly hard to make an adapter to attach nearly anything that will fit around the fork.

New Zealand company Thunderbike produces (amongst many other fine products for our bikes) a twin headlamp kit for Americas/Speedmasters. I just noticed tonight they're also doing mirror mounts to put HD mirrors on our bikes too, and ordered a set.

You can see the twin headlamp kit here.

streetboogie.com has the kits. Actually I remember the post where he said he was taking them off the website, but you can still call and ask for it.

I think they would look great on a speedmaster, just too expensive for me at 700.00.
Good Luck

The twin headlights off a speed triple is also my option so all I have to do is design a post that goes in the same spot and the stock one is and then I will be able to mount the headlights off that.

I could of sworn a couple of years ago one of our members did mount dual headlight to the front of their Speedy. But for the life of me I can't remember who. They did have pics in photopost though.

OK I think I found out who it was. Although I didn't find the thread from when he was developing it. If you do a search you should be able to find( I never have good luck with the search, I must be doing something wrong) Dual Headlights

If memory serves me correct, the kits from streetboogie.com were around $300 or so.

If a bulb blew, you could still make it home safely. She wants you to be safe, right?

Just remember that dual headlights won't work with any of the standard screens, and probably won't work with driving lights. May also conflict with things like that bracket that Ma's sells to mount your turn signals on the forks.

Back in the 60s, dual headlights (rectangular) on cruisers/choppers were vertically stacked and looked good. That way, they would not interfere in any way with the windshields. Windshields with the thin plastic adjustable center pieces could be easily cut to match/snugly fit the upper headlight.
